A open letter to my visitors:
If you’re in the market for an Investment Advisor there is a possibility that I could be a good fit for you. Before contacting me, please review the following description of my capabilities, investment advisory practice, and overview of our planning and investment process. To read more about my firm, please visit our page here.
Who I Am:
I am a CPA/PFS, which means that I’m more than just a financial planner or investment manager (Read about the CPA/PFS in this post). My credentialed background and experience in estate planning, retirement planning, investing, taxation, and insurance affords me the ability to be a truly holistic personal financial advisor. I firmly believe that comprehensive financial planning is a multifaceted process that requires a great deal of strategy and discipline, and one that should be led by a seasoned professional who has a vast array of subject matter knowledge.
Who I Serve:
I’ve been very fortunate to serve incredibly inspirational and successful clients across a wide range of industries and disciplines. While each client has been truly unique, certain commonalities have stood out and thus might be helpful in determining if you would also benefit from my services.
How I Work:
I am a Fee-Only financial advisor that proudly acts as a Fiduciary for my clients. This means I have a legal obligation to put clients interests far before my own in all recommendations I make. I do not accept commissions nor sales proceeds, referral fees, or any other form of compensation outside of my disclosed advisory fee. All advisory services are offered through my independent SEC registered investment advisor, RGA Investment Advisors LLC (RGA), which has offices in both New York and Connecticut.
After a comprehensive discovery session, I craft a customized financial and investment management plan geared towards my clients unique financial goals and objectives. I build these plans around life events that include (but are not limited to) family wealth planning, goal based planning, retirement planning, wealth transfer and estate planning, business succession planning, and asset protection.
I communicate regularly with clients via technology (email is my preferred communication medium), but I am always accessible by phone. I visit with each client quarterly, and sometimes more frequently when life circumstances require for it. The majority of my clients reside in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) but many are from all over the United States and we work together virtually (web conferencing, phone, and email).
All clients have 24/7 secure online access to their accounts. My firm invests heavily in technology to provide clients with real time account alerts and monitoring to ensure all planning is done at the time it is needed, rather than the reactionary way many advisors provide support.
What I Charge:
My fee structure is simple and transparent. I charge a percentage of Assets Under Management (AUM) for investment management. If you’d like complete details of my firms’ fee schedule just use the contact form on this site and I would be happy to discuss them with you.
When we manage accounts it is done so via an independent custodian and we never take custody of client assets. This is important as it protects clients and investors from fraud and misappropriation of assets. It also ensures I never make a commission for transactions since I am not a representative of any financial custodian. All of our client assets are held with TD Institutional (soon to be Charles Schwab).
What I Can Offer:
In the vast ocean of financial advisors, broker dealers, registered investment advisors, and other types of financial professional, I am still so often surprised by the lack of truly comprehensive financial advice available. All too often, clients are blind-sighted by fees, sold inferior products deemed to be ‘suitable,’ and put into underperforming portfolios that disservice them. I’d say it’s about time for some better financial advice. I am committed to a practice that puts my clients interest first, that honors the trust given to me, in a manner that provides true holistic financial guidance. Oftentimes, it makes sense to start by conducting a comprehensive financial plan.
Should We Meet?
If after reading above you’d like to have a conversation about working together I’d welcome the opportunity to get to know one another. I do the vast majority of my initial appointments via the phone and/or web conference. To set up an initial meeting, have your questions answered, and to see if we could be a good fit please call my office or drop me an email.
Thanks for checking out this page and learning more about who I serve and how my clients and I work together.

- Most of my clients are successful and demonstrated leaders (read: ‘self-starters’) in their respective disciplines
- My clients are, on the whole, family and community oriented. People with a life purpose that far exceeds just money and “things”
- Most of my clients have sought exclusively for independent and fee-only investment advisors during their search for a financial advisor, and their search had inevitably lead to me or my practice
- My clients are patient, long term investors committed to having a custom asset management plan
- My clients subscribe to and believe in my holistic planning approach and my firms’ methodical and disciplined investment philosophy
